Blenheim – Garden Toile Wallpaper – Rust

A vintage inspired toile featuring lush private gardens, glass houses and greenery.

Blenheim is a traditional toile: a private garden drawn in fine single-colour line on a plain background, in the manner of an antique engraving. A domed Victorian palm house sits at the centre with a long glazed range beside it, and around it are weeping willows, a tiered stone fountain, urns on plinths, a glazed fernery filled with palms, mature broadleaf trees and large-leaved tropical planting. Each scene sits in its own pocket of open background, so the wall reads as a set of small engravings rather than one continuous landscape.

Rust is the warmest of the four and the one that reads as genuinely antique — closer to a sepia engraving or an old botanical plate than to a printed wallpaper, particularly under lamplight.

Blenheim is an offset match with a 53cm pattern repeat, printed on a non-woven substrate: you paste the wall rather than the paper, which makes it quicker to hang and strippable when you remove it. Also available in Green, Blue and Cream.
