2024 Stefano Lubiana Estate Pinot Noir

Steve and Monique Lubiana were farming biodynamically in Tasmania long before it was the cool thing to do, and their Estate Pinot Noir is the proof that the extra effort is worth it.

Sourced from their certified biodynamic vineyard in Granton, overlooking the Derwent River, this uses a mix of vines ranging from 15 to 30 years old, plus a little bit of fruit from their newer high-density block up the hill.

We have always loved the structure of this wine. It’s never just a simple fruit bomb; it has serious bones. The 2024 is firm and brooding right now, packed with dark cherry, wild strawberry and that signature earthy spice you get from the Derwent Valley.

To be honest, it is pretty tightly wound at the moment. It’s built for the long haul, so if you are drinking it tonight, give it a really good decant. Otherwise, tuck it away for a few years - it will be worth the wait.
